      What to buy:



  Prepare Lasagna Components:

   Cook pasta:

  1. Boil decent sized pot of water
  2. While you're operating the stove set the oven to preheat to 350 F
  3. Add lasagna noodles
  4. Return to boil
  5. Let boil  5 or 6 minutes

   Note: the noodles do not have to be completely cooked at this point

   they will finish cooking in the oven later


   Make Cheese Goo and Hamburger Mixture:

  1. Put the hamburger in a pot big enough to hold the beef and the sauce on the stove and turn on the heat
  2. If you buy really lean beef add some vegetable oil to keep the beef form burning
  3. Occasionally stir the beef
  4. Between episodes of beef stirring mix together  ricotta cheese, egg and 1/4 c. parmesan in a bowl.
  5. Set in the cheese goo in the  refrigerator
  6. When the beef stops bleeding drain its juices into the sink and add the sauce to the pot




   Assemble Lasagna Components:

  1. In the bottom an approx. 13" x 9" pan spread some of the beef/sauce mixture
  2. Add a layer of lasagna noodles covering the entire surface of the sauce
  3. Pour some more of the sauce on top of the noodles
  4. Evenly spread all of the cheese goo on top of the sauce
  5. Add 2 c. of the mozzarella cheese and 1/4 c. parmesan
  6. Create another layer of lasagna noodles
  7. Pour the remaining sauce on top of the 2nd layer of noodle
  8. Add remaining mozzarella cheese
  9. Cover with foil 
  10. Bake in oven at 350 F for 45 minutes, remove foil for last 5 minutes to make the cheese crispy
